FAQ
HOW IS INTEL® OPTANE™ MEMORY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MEMORY?
While RAM can prioritize the programs you’re currently using, it loses this information forever when the PC is turned off. Intel® Optane™ Memory, on the other hand, retains these preferences even after you turn off the PC. This means your PC is more responsive the more you use it.
Do i still need ram?
Yes. Intel® Optane™ Memory is not as fast as RAM and it cannot replace RAM entirely. It can be used to augment system RAM, bridging a gap between ‘memory’ and ‘storage’. Intel® Optane™ Memory can make the programs and files you use most often more responsive.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE FOR MY PC?
With both Intel® Optane™ memory media and Intel® QLC 3D NAND media on a single M.2 module, it's an ideal replacement for HDD-based solutions.
