Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value laser printer I have used 10+ different HP Laser Jet Printers in my professional life so far. This is the one I like the most. It took me less than15 minutes (including the time needed to install its drivers) to set it up. I tried out the printing and scanning functionalities, and they worked great! Printing is fast and quiet. Scanning is surprisingly quick and in high quality. I used to spend tens of seconds to scan one page with my other scanner, and this MFP only took 2 seconds! Wow! I also tried out WiFi printing from my iPhone/iPad, as well as from my iMac and MacBook Pro, and this printer just worked! The web interface is easy to use and very robust with tons of features. Must have for someone looking to scan their documents to a network share.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Neat idea, room for improvement As a lover of new gadgets and technology this is a great addition to my collection in some ways...the price is a little steep and the paper isn’t cheap, especially when my 5 year old loves the idea of cool photo stickers of her pets and her friends!! The printer is a neat little size, fits comfortably in your hand and is nice and light. It’s prints pretty fast and I think it is relatively quiet whilst printing. The only downfall to this little printer is the picture quality, I’m guessing there needs to be some kind of improvement to the ‘zink’ paper As the printer itself needs no ink so it’s all down to the paper and the way that works. As someone who likes to take pictures as a hobby, my photos taken on my hobbyist camera aren’t the best quality from this printer which is disappointing. Hence I think it is quite novelty and is nice to just have to create albums an/or scrapbooking etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quirky novelty item Lovely little printer, excellent conversational piece. Makes a nice stocking filler for any teenager. The print quality is not professional but is decent enough. Expensive for what it is but it is good fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality prints The HP LaserJet Pro M28w is an easy to use device and gives great quality print outs. The print outs come out sharply and show the finer detail without being blurry or wishy washy. It is straightforward to setup. The HP LaserJet Pro M28w looks a smart neat little device from the outside but is a bit heavy. The WIFI is easy to configure, setup and works a treat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great concept but needs improveent The HP Sprocket Plus is a device I've wanted to try for a while. On receiving the Printer it seems well built and looks sleek and stylish. It's a doddle to set up, simply make sure the battery is charged, load the paper & download the app and you're ready to go. The app gives lots of options to edit photos before printing and offers hints and tips for using the printer. Printing itself is very speedy with prints only taking a few seconds. Unfortunately the prints are quite disappointing. The colours generally appear rather washed out compared to the digital versions and there are often lines and blemishes on physical prints. It's an excellent concept and the pictures do make nice little mementos but the image quality really is a let down. I wanted to love the Sprocket Plus but currently I feel let down. If HP can update the firmware or improve the paper to provide better colours I'd be happy with it but for now I can't recommend it. UPDATE I've now learned you can print direct from other apps on your phone. My experience printing direct from Photos on my iPhone seems a bit better than using the Sprocket App.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great, images need work DESIGN First off - this looks amazing and is well built, so hats off to HPs design team here The copper highlights complement the pearl white exterior well, and remind me of their Spectre line somewhat. Size wise, it's around the same size as an external battery (which can also charge this). While it's impressive that HP crammed this technology into such a small package, it is fairly cumbersome to carry around (considering you'll need your smartphone, and probably a power pack too as smartphone batteries are all terrible now. So that's a lot to throw into your bag SPEED Print times are around what are advertised, at sub 40seconds mostly, depending on the complexity of the image. This slowed down somewhat after printing multiple consecutive images as the device began to heat up, but not substantially IMAGE QUALITY Atrocious. As most other reviews have said, the colour accuracy on this is poor. Colours are extremely washed out/desaturated, and there is noticeable banding or striping across any areas of block colour. When this is targeted at the insta generation, who are used to vibrant, oversaturated images courtesy of their smartphones, they are going to expect more than this VALUE This is an expensive device given the quality, although it's priced in the same ballpark as its competitors. The paper, however, is exorbitant - this costs around 50p per print, and with print quality like this, it's just not worth it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pocket size printer itself is a good item - smaller than you can expect and working as described. Small and not heavy to keep in your pocket or handbag. Easy to control via app. BUT! although you can print photos from your phone anywhere you like, the format is really small and quality wont be the best sometimes. Would recommend for school projects, some parties or special occasions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed Firstly this was really easy to set up straight from the box. The instructions were really clear and it only took about 5-6 minutes. It looks really neat and being small doesn't take up much room at all which is ideal in my small office space. It is really quiet whilst printing and the scanning is really quick. I think you can scan direct to an email although I've not tried that yet. After what seemed like I'd printed off the entire copy of War & Peace the cartridge eventually ran out. Changing the cartridge was really easy too. All in all, this printer is ideal for the home office and would definitely recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Instant Memories and experiences Actually it is a great portable printer to have in hand when you want to create memories. With a limit of 10 ZINC paper printer load, I could get enough prints for me and my friends in one event, but it could be just a few for some people. We have to be mindful on how to store the spare ZINC paper as it cannot bear high temperature, considering we are in the middle of a heatwave in London. Without editing, the print quality does not have the color saturation fidelity as the photo found on my smartphone. However, with a bit of editing and tweaking, this is not a problem. I found adding experiences (4 borders available in the app) quite interesting. Reviewing the experiences by scanning the printout photo is just amazing and a fantastic feature. I would have liked more choice of experiences though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and lightweight When I opened the box, I was impressed with the look and feel of this compact printer. It looks good and is slim. It’s also lightweight, similar weight and not much wider to a mobile phone. It’s handy that it comes with a pack of 10 sheets of photo paper too so you can start printing your favourite photos straightaway. On the side of the printer, it features a USB charging port (cable included), power button and indicator light. The simple instruction card shows you how to open the cover (slide then lift up) and insert the paper. It's pretty idiot proof, takes 30 seconds then you're almost ready to go. Before using it you need to install the free Sprocket app to your phone or tablet then connect the printer to Bluetooth. I had no issues with this. The app was simple to use and allows you to edit the image with borders, emojis and text, just like you can on your mobile phone. I tried borders and emojis but generally preferred printing without editing. The printer is very quiet and is quick to print, takes about 1-2 minutes once you send it via the app. I only experienced a minor issue mid-printing when a paper jam occurred but the app notified me with a pop-up message with instructions on what to do. The light on the printer also turned red. This was easily rectified. I loved the simplicity of using this from inserting the photo pack, using the app and sending to print. I can see it being lots of fun to print instant photos and sharing these with friends and family when out and about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review for Laserjet Pro From opening to first print was probably about 8 minutes so you can be up and running very quickly. I like the look of the LaserJet Pro, it’s compact, neat and I think it would fit well in any home or office.I really haven’t put this under too much pressure as it boasts to be able to print 18/19ppm. I have however reeled off all my paperwork with ease and no ‘paper jams’ or error messages. The app is very user friendly and shows the ink levels, it’s personally a little vague for my liking - it would be nice to have a percentage, even if it wasn’t fantastically accurate just as a guide, especially if you were mass printing. I particularly like the sleep function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Printer Having spent a few weeks with this printer, I can honestly say it is great! It was very simple to setup and my MacBook detected it straight away. I was able to print some test documents and everything was aligned and clean prints were being produced, none of the old school test pages and alignment configs to do. The scanning is also very easy just pop it in hit go and within a few seconds, you have your scanned document. The wifi was a little difficult to setup using the recommended app. The quickest way was to connect to the printer via webpage and enter my wifi details directly. This worked and now the kids are printing from their own laptops.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tiny and fun The printer itself is absolutely tiny! I didn't think it would be so small and everyone that sees it asks where the ink and paper goes in. They're quite surprised to hear that you can put a whole stack of paper in, and that it's inkless - especially when they see the photos it prints. The photos aren't perfect, but they're pretty good for a tiny inkless printer. They aren't photo printer quality, but they're nice little stickers to remind you of great memories. It prints very fast (30 seconds for a photo), and is fairly quiet. The app lets you edit and send any photo from your phone. It's easy to install and use. Setup was quick and painless. It is definiately a fun little gadget, but due to the cost, it's not practical for everyday use. Each print costs a minimum of 50p. It's great for covering your laptop in stickers, or giving a great memory a home anywhere. But since the quality isn't there for a photobook, and the cost is too much for just stickers, it more of a fun gadget than a practical printer. But it's super fun and great for occasional use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great concept    When I opened up the Sprocket printer I was amazed but its size. I knew it was portable but did not expect it to be a small as it was, which was definately a plus point. I was also impressed by the quality feel of the printer, it feels solid and not flimsy, you know its a premium product. Upon opening ,the instructions were straight forward and easy to use, although admittedly I had to google on how to open it up for loading the paper as I missed the instruction to slide back first before lifting it. The printer is realtively quiet, prints at a reasonable speed and the software was easy to load and use on my phone. The quality is good but not GREAT, it reminds me of the app where you make your pictures appear older, (nostalgic effect springs to mind) where they are slightly faded. Although the photos are glossy they look like they have been left in the sun a bit. I can imagine the appeal to young people who want to share quick snaps between them and stick them on walls etc....I will test it out at a family party next weekend with plenty of youngs ones. For me however it is a great idea and shows what is to come but the quality is not enough for me to purchase this., hence the 3 stars. overall Pros ;- size portability quick easy to use quiet cons;- cost quality of the prints Novelty could wear off Overall if you were considering buying this I would say go ahead just don't expect high quality photos but good fun and usable

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Idea, poor printing quality Comes packaged in a small compact box with minimal packaging, which is great for the environment, so well done HP. I was very excited to receive the printer and upon opening I was surprised at how small the printer actually was. I was expecting it to be much bigger. I was surprised at how VERY easy it was to set up. All that needed to be done was to download the Sprocket app from either the Play Store (Android Users) or the App Store (iOS users). Once the app was downloaded all I had to do was turn on the printer and make sure my Bluetooth was on my phone. Then I opened the app and followed the onscreen instructions. A few minutes later I was ready to go. I am really impressed with the battery on this little printer. Charges pretty quick and the battery isn’t bad. I loved the size of this printer fits nicely into a bag or side pocket of a back pack, even fits into a good sized jogging bottom pocket. It has a nice shiny and sleek cover and looks good. Feels strong and sturdy. Be aware it does attract fingerprints The Print quality was a disappointed with the actual quality of the pictures that came out, I don’t know if it’s because of the paper or the actual printer. all the pictures I printed were bright and colourful on screen even in the app but when I actually printed them on the Sprocket Plus they came out dull and streaky looking. I tried to improve the printing quality by tweaking photos on the app but they still came out dull. I had one picture, where my nephew was playing in his pool in the garden and he came out with a blueish tint to his skin, which was weird. In another picture a perfect blue clear with no clouds printed with white streaks on it so it looked like we had white clouds falling on top of us. Overall, the printer has potential to be a good but if your looking for Professional looking photo's not for you. Would be good for kids.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Hardware, software meh. I've now been playing with the printer for a few weeks now, and have a couple of thoughts. Things I love: The look of it - it's fairly minimalist, clean lines with just a couple of indicator lights. The functionality - Scanning is great, printing spot on. I love Google Cloud Print integration - which means I can print stuff on the road and read it when I get home. As I said, the scanner is great, and once set up it "just works". I'm getting through a lot of paper now that I have access to a printer that is so simple to use; my previous printer took a lot more messing about, that I hadn't realised until I now have this to compare it to. Things that could be improved: Easystart Software - This crashed out twice, and I had to download the driver package directly. During installation the online registration pages 404d, but none of this stopped me, nor put me off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Compact printer Ideal compact printer for easy use. Makes great pictures for any age to use. Easy downloadable app to help you with your work. App has many frames, stickers and text. You can also create your own stickers. I good little printer for packing into a bag or even your pocket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea but print quality let's it down My expectation of this product was perhaps higher than it should have been, the HP Sproket Plus printer delivers a neat idea but leaves a lot to be desired in its print quality. On receiving my parcel I was glad to see that the packaging and information provided on the box was more than adequate. I had no prejudice before getting my hands on this not reading any reviews or articles and never had any encounters with previous models. The setup was quick and easy and simply downloading the app and following the instructions I had the paper and printer up and ready to go in no time. So far so good, time came to print my first photo which was a landscape pic of Tower Bridge. My heart sank a little because I guess my expectation was to get a print of similar quality I get from a standard inkjet printer. However this was not the case, with hindsight I guess it was and is too much to expect from a small portable ink free printer. I think the concept of this printer is brilliant and with us becoming new parents it present a great solution to print some keepsake pics for the various baby books and albums for people but the fact remains that the quality of the print is not up to par. It is better for prints of people rather than landscapes but still not great. In conclusion I could not recommend this printer to my friends without them seeing the print quality first before purchase due to its high price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great quality and value Having started up my own graphic design business I have a lot of paper work to print out to keep track of my records. With an easy set up process I was away in no time. With the ability to scan and photocopy, it means I don't require further equipment taking up space in a very small office and more importantly the extra cost of purchasing these pieces of equipment separately. The cartridges are so easy to replace and with no mess.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NIkkinikz I really love the style and look of the printer! BUT I especially LOVED the sleek small size, Much smaller then a normal laser jet. It’s quieter then some laser jets I’ve had in the pass and the I love the fact that it’s white. It’s got great functions like printing from your phone and via WiFi , There was only 1 thing that let this amazing little laser jet down and that was the fact it doesn’t use colour , and most businesses today you at least some colou r. 9/10

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea, poor print quality Positives: Smart little gadget that is really compact and easily carried around. Really easy to set up in just a few clicks. The associated app is really good and has some great editing and printing features to explore. The printer is ink free, so no need to top anything up, you just need to buy more paper. The battery is great and really fast to charge. I can see it being a great gadget for a group or school wanting to print photos for collages/activities where photos are stuck on/drawn on/cut out. Negatives: The quality of the photos is really quite bad. The colours are completely wrong. The photos remind me of photos I've seen in my parents photo albums from the 70's. There is an almost nostalgic tint to them. Which is not the look I wanted for my photos. I also had issues with lines and pixels on my photos even when printing from high quality images from my phone. At the price it is currently sold at I am nervous to take it out in case I have an accident with it. The photos are really small, so small in fact that I really have no use for them. I can see them being great for a teenage or young person who wants to make collages or large collections of photos...but I just want to be able to stick a couple in a frame, and these are far too small for this. They are great for printing photos for those drinks coasters where you insert a picture. You have to remember to take more paper around with you. So overall, a great idea, but the photo quality is poor

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surpringly impressed Really surprised by this zink printer. It charges quickly, it’s light and small enough to carry in my purse. I wasn’t expecting much from the photo quality based on my previous experience with zink printing but this one is something else. The quality was great, and that was just from an iPhone photo. It prints quickly. It’s easy to use and setup and the hp app makes the process simple allowing you to connect your Instagram and Facebook accounts as well. The only improvements I would mention is that the whites aren’t terribly bright and the colours are slightly washed out so you’d need to up the saturation to get desired effects. The app would be great if it would link to Dropbox and other online storage devices and it would be useful to see a preview of what the print would look like so that editing can be done if required. I’d definitely recommend it. #HPPrinters See further photos and reviews on my Instagram @spyglasslife
