I think it is a good printer and it is nice and quiet and prints really quickly all the pages that you require in no time. This printer only prints in black and white. It is not a colour printer. However, the scanner does scan in colour.

This is my first WiFi-enabled printer, and they don’t tend to have a good reputation, so I was a little uncertain about how easy this would be to set up. The documentation is a little on the light side, but surprisingly, it’s fairly hassle-free. Holding the WiFi button makes the printer find your router, and from then on, it only took one or two tries to connect devices to it. Laptops and desktop Windows PCs were able to find the printer automatically, and after downloading the drivers, worked well. Android phones and tablets sometimes were a little slower to connect, but WiFi-direct got there in a minute or so, and I was able to print out emails and PDF documents very easily, and with good quality. After initial connection, all of the devices I’ve connected have been able to print without further problem. The quality of prints is very good, as you’d expect from a modern laser printer – black text is crisp and well-defined, and greyscale graphics are well-rendered and clear. Scanning is a little tricky, but photocopying very quick and easy.

Great quality and reasonably priced printer. Easy to set up. Only downside is that it is only black and white.

The HP 44A original toner cartridge comes nicely packaged with clearly marked bright orange components to remove before installation. The new cartridge is very easy to install and no messy fingers. Print quality is superb from the point of installation.

I have used 10+ different HP Laser Jet Printers in my professional life so far. This is the one I like the most. It took me less than15 minutes (including the time needed to install its drivers) to set it up. I tried out the printing and scanning functionalities, and they worked great! Printing is fast and quiet. Scanning is surprisingly quick and in high quality. I used to spend tens of seconds to scan one page with my other scanner, and this MFP only took 2 seconds! Wow! I also tried out WiFi printing from my iPhone/iPad, as well as from my iMac and MacBook Pro, and this printer just worked!

The web interface is easy to use and very robust with tons of features. Must have for someone looking to scan their documents to a network share.

While its a nice compact printer with good print quality and fast printing I was disappointed that after printing 50 pages the printer had to stop and wait to cool down, it did this consistently. While not everyone prints that many pages at once the actual print on the page was very minimal (it was a dressmaking pattern so just a few lines to a page)

The printer is easy to unbox, untab (yes there are a few tabs to remove) and the set up instructions are simple and easy to follow.
The difficulty comes when you press your WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button on your wireless router and press the wifi button on the printer and the 2 don't pair up! Then you could be in a world of hurt. After an 1.5 hours of following all the trouble shooting guides and the HP help page, I finally managed to find a good video on YouTube (good old YouTube) that should me how to set up the printer by connecting it to my PC using the USB cable, then attaching the printer to my wifi network. Finally connected via wireless, I printed page after page seamlessly and with good strong quality black ink.
The printer is an excellent size, compact an unobtrusive. However, the build quality is a tad flimsy is certain areas - the in tray is a half-tray and the A4 paper hangs out the back. Knock past them and the pages are all on the floor.
The out-tray is actually a flap that if you accidentally catch the wrong way then you could easily break it.
In summary, a nice compact mono-printer that prints excellent quality black pages. However, I think it's a tad overpriced and the build quality lacks in certain areas.

Decent quality printer, and a decent quality toner cartdrige. Does what its meant to. Well built and leak free. Quality prints without smearing. Printer is well thought out and compact. Networking needs work. Toner is exactly what it needs to be. Solid, quality and reliable.

Fantastic printer. I am really impressed with is. It prints so quickly and clearly. It was really easy to set up from unboxing, inserting the toner cartridge and connecting wirelessly to my laptop. Also has a useful scanning function. The only downsides for about this printer as that it isn’t colour which I didn’t realise ( it also has a colour icon on the box which is a bit confusing) and the price of the toner cartridges is quite high.

I have been using this printer for several weeks & have been impressed with the overall performance, ease in setting it up, using it via an iPhone application, and this is my first wireless printer.

The printer is extremely quiet, extremely efficient and definitely fit for purpose.

I was a little disappointed with the front paper tray, as I don’t feel this is the most aesthetically pleasing, having paper hanging out onto my desk, but other than that the printer is highly compact.

I would definitely recommend, especially for business purposes.

I work from home and over time have realised that a laser printer is much more cost effective than an inkjet printer in the long run. After using the HP LaserJet Pro M28w for 4 weeks now, for both scanning and printing documents, I'm in a good position to go through its good and bad points.

It's easy to set up, as per most HP products. I downloaded the latest Win10 x64 drivers from the HP website, and simply followed the instructions. I was up and running within 5 minutes.

Printing: this is a great printer for one of A4 documents, or a small print run. I did send a large PDF to the printer via Wifi (requesting multiple copies) but only the first whole document printed. I've tried several times but the same issue occurred. Print quality is good for standard text documents. On some documents with logos, sometimes the logos had faint lines running through. Not a major issue.

Scanning: I've used both the HP provided app and the inbuilt Windows Scan app - both work well. Scanning over wifi is no different than doing it via a USB cable. Great quality in either document or photo mode. It's not quick to scan a sheet of A4, but not slow either. Average.

Issues: For some reason the printer has lost its Wifi connection. Rebooting my router and rebooting the printer did not get the connection to re-establish itself. I had to re-install the drivers to get it to re-connect.

I was very impressed with how high quality and sharp the print was; this printer and the laser cartridge performed far better than any inkjet and I was sure I would get professional standard prints every time which is a huge benefit. I am used to my printer not performing how I would want it and with this printer its fantastic. I would highly recommend it!

The HP LaserJet Pro M28w is an easy to use device and gives great quality print outs. The print outs come out sharply and show the finer detail without being blurry or wishy washy. It is straightforward to setup. The HP LaserJet Pro M28w looks a smart neat little device from the outside but is a bit heavy. The WIFI is easy to configure, setup and works a treat.

I'd been thinking about getting a laserjet printer for university work and the scanner attached meant this seemed to perfectly meet my needs. As most of my prints are essays or sewing patterns, I don't need a colour printer. After a fair bit of usage, I believe this printer to be entirely average with some good point and some not-so-good points.

    The good:
The printer is beautiful; the white style of it matches my living room perfectly.
When it is set up, it prints incredibly easily and doesn't seem to encounter any issue in doing so.
The prints are very crisp and I'm impressed with the results.
    The scanner works well.

    The bad:
The printer took over an hour to set up on my PC. While the instructions are clear, I encountered an error at every turn. T
he first few prints were far from crisp and were instead quite fuzzy. This did seem to settle down and I'm now happy with the quality, but not a good first impression.
The printer is noisy. I know that there is always a noise, but this is more than any I've ever known.
There isn't any way to catch your prints. It has the input tray, but no output tray, meaning the print just gather in a messy pile in from of the printer. When printing essays or sewing patterns which you need to keep in order, this is infuriating.

As such, I think the printer does a sufficient job of black & white prints, while having the longevity benefits of being inkjet, together with having a scanner. But if you just want a scanner and a black & white printer, there are much cheaper alternatives. This printer seems expensive for what it does and small changes could make it so much better.

The product was easy to unbox and set up, didn't really need to consult the paperwork inside. I was able to connect it simply to my HP spectre laptop and get things set up. The only minor issue I have had is that my laptop kept trying to download HP Smart whenever I connect the printer, but it looks like due to a window 10 compatibility issue, I can't actually download the HP Smart app. Despite this, I was able to get it working anyway and could print both from my laptop and from my phone with ease. I do often work at home, and also do Ebay a lot and so I tried printing some Ebay postal labels with and it was really easy to do (and quick!). I also tried printing a short report on it using the double-sided feature, and again this was easy to do (once you know how!) I think I got it wrong the first time and it is easy to do now. I like the fact that it prints so many pages per toner pack , this will keep me going for some time - and actually I am glad its not colour as I don't really have need for a colour printer - and if I did want to print in colour I would get photographs printed separately using an online service. Overall, this is a great addition to our home office, it is very nice looking, compact in size and easy to use and set up. I haven’t used it to scan yet, but this feature will also come in very handy indeed. Thankyou!

Firstly this was really easy to set up straight from the box. The instructions were really clear and it only took about 5-6 minutes.

It looks really neat and being small doesn't take up much room at all which is ideal in my small office space.

It is really quiet whilst printing and the scanning is really quick. I think you can scan direct to an email although I've not tried that yet. After what seemed like I'd printed off the entire copy of War & Peace the cartridge eventually ran out. Changing the cartridge was really easy too.

All in all, this printer is ideal for the home office and would definitely recommend it.

Compact and handy little printer. Not the simplest to setup for use by multiple machines or on a network if you don't have WPS,but once there, its a swift and good quality laser printer, with the added scanning ability.

Tiny footprint is IDEAL for a small / home office where space is an important factor. I can't tell how many times I've had to rely on poor quality inkjet printers simply because I didn't have room for a laser at home. This is smaller than my last Inkjet MFP!

The toner seems to be lasting well and certainly not doign the usual inkjet trick of lasting for a fortnight then running out of black. Of course this is a monochrome printer, but I find most of my home / office prints don't require colour anyway.
Overall very impressed - particularly by the fact a number of Linux users in our office managed to install / print to this machine faster than anyone connecting from a Windows machine managed. This time, they've got it just right which I found frequently to be troublesome from Linux workstations - in fact it just about removes the only weakness from running Linux machines!

Upon receiving the printer it was very easy to set up and whilst it is a shame it's only a black ink one image quality of documents printed is great and very clear. It can be a bit noisy but then so can most so it didn't bother me. I also liked that it didn't take up too much space so could easily fit anywhere I needed it too. Overall I would recommend this printer however for my needs I need a colour one.

You get what you pay for with this. Yes you can buy a compatible one for less money but the print quality is less and the yield will be diminished.

This is easy to install and look like it’s going to last for a long time. I imagine this is designed to be for a home printer only so the results will reflect this. I’ve used this a lot for nearly 2 weeks and the quality remains. Faultless product from HP.
