This is a fantastic gadget I love this little thing, maybe a little too much! It’s easy to set up and prints decent quality photos. They're not perfect as often the colour is off with tinges of pink, sometimes too dark, the colour accuracy leaves a bit to be desired but I feel that misses the point. These devices aren't meant to print pictures that are going to be framed and scrutinised. I use mine for casual, fun pictures when out and about and diary additions. The paper comes in packs and just slots in and once the app is downloaded you're good to go. After downloading the free Sprocket app onto my phone I had printed off my first snap within two minutes. It is very simple to operate and prints come really fast (10 seconds). The app has an editing facility with which I can alter contrast, brightness etc and add 'stickers', frames and effects, should I wish. I like the small size, so I can carry it with me when I'm travelling. The pictures are small enough to carry in a wallet and can be used as photos or if the backing is peeled off they can be used as stickers. This is a fun and useful gadget and I am pleased with it so far.

The first thing anyone will say is how much smaller this is than they think. It's roughly the size of a phablet, so is incredibly portable. Unboxing and set up is really easy, although wish the nice braided USB power cable was longer - it can make it difficult to charge in certain circumstances. Loading up with the sheets of Zink paper is really easy too, but wish it held more then one pack at a time. Pairing up to a phone via the Sprocket app is simple and straightforward, and includes added bonuses of all those Instagram-esque frames and additions that you can add to your pics. I was slightly worried that anyone else wanting to print photos would all have to download the app, but sending any photos to the printer without the app and via Bluetooth is just as easy, so family and friends can also print off their own prints without having to constantly ask you to do it. I'd say I'm happy with the quality of the prints that come out so far. I guess a level of expectation needs to come with this - they're small prints, I'd say not designed for long lasting prints like you might print and put in a decent frame, maybe more for that fun, almost disposable type prints. It's definitely one for the kids too - all the kids that've seen it in action love waiting to see what is being printed, and, as they're small prints they seem perfect for little hands! The only downside for me is the battery life, which, if printing a lot in the space of, say, an hour at a party, will see it nearly conked out. Leaving it plugged in sorts this, but, as a printer sold as being portable it would've been nice to see a larger capacity battery inside. So so far I'd say my experiences have been favourable for the Sprocket Plus. Compared to something like a Polaroid Snap, which for me doesn't produce great prints and is sluggish, this is far and away superior, and it's good that it leverages the quality of your phone camera to produce better photo prints.

It is impossible to describe in a few words how great this product is. Installation is really a simple application also is simple to use. The colors of the printed photos are vivid and the picture sharpness is good, the printer prints really fast though I am a bit disappointed in the size of the photos. The printer has a really small size and you can easily take it with you everywhere, thanks to charging the battery you can use it anywhere. Quickly print your favorite memories in one small box I really recommend

The HP Sprocket Plus arrived in the familiar HP packaging, easily identifiable offering the high-quality products expected. Unpackaging of the product was easy but the setup took a little longer as the setup guide had to be downloaded via the HP website which was easily navigated. Once downloaded, the setup was simple, supported via labelled figures it enabled the full charge of the printer, with an LED light to indicate the charge levels leaving you free to go off and check on the product from a distance – red is charging, and green is charged. Once charged the product was ready to use. Downloading the HP Sprocket app was easy, found on either the Google Play or Apple stores, it allowed personalisation of those favourite photos. Opening the app first time and connecting to the Sprocket via Bluetooth sparked an immediate firmware upgrade keeping the device up to date to ensure the best quality pictures and editing ability. The capability of the app to take pictures, find old pictures on your phone and edit them, amazed me, from browsing your camera roll to signing in with your Instagram, Facebook or Google accounts ensured no picture went amiss. With the picture preview ability, it enabled you to edit the pictures, resizing, adding frames, lighting and a whole lot more including customising your own stickers to add to a photo – the possibilities are endless. When in a rush or in a place such as a beach or bar, you don’t have time to print straight away, so the print queue feature is ideal allowing you to save for later! Being at university, this feature was fantastic, with the added ability of allowing friends to add to the print queue too using the shared print queue feature allowed for extra diversity in our picture collections. These collections were made more varied and unique with the tile printing option, which allowed a photo to be cut into smaller pieces and when printed could be arranged into one big picture and is ideal for a photobook or wall arrangement. Furthermore, photobooths are forever iconic and with the photobooth feature, it allows the sprocket app to take consecutive photos with a delay between each to allow the pose to change. LOVED THIS FEATURE! Ideal for those nights out or even when you go out into town to meet your friends or even when your cheeky cousins come to visit too! Regarding the loading of the paper into the device is simple and couldn’t be easier. Unwrapping the photo paper showed a smartsheet which was put face down into the machine with the photo paper on top and the lid of the machine closed. The smartsheet is basically a barcode and automatically calibrated the machine for that paper pack next time you turn it on, no fuss or stress! Overall this is an amazing device, that can print and personalise memories. Would definitely recommend!

This printer is amazing and is so easy to use. It is slightly larger than the usual small printers but has great quality and
This paper I have been asked to review is slightly larger than the usual micro paper printer that I have used in the past. The paper is quality and provides very good prints. I would recommend the genuine paper for use with the Sprocket. The software on the app is amazing and allows you to do many special effects.

Good quality product ideal for keeping teenagers occupied. My daughter loved the Sprocket and enjoyed making prints to share with friends. Really great product. The paper is easy to load and given that the prints are made by thermal imaging they are of decent quality.

So this HP sprocket plus wireless printer is firmly targeted at people that want to be able to produce quick, easy printouts of photos taken on smartphones or from major social media networks (instagram, facebook, google etc.) on location possibly to share with friends etc. Well for those purposes it is superb. Charging only takes about an hour and you are ready to go, with universal compatibility between handsets as the sprocket app is available for both android and apple handsets. The actual printing process is so quick and easy, simply open the sprocket app and click print (ensuring bluetooth is on on your phone) and within 40s you'll have a full 5.8 x 8.6 cm photo printout (which is also a sticker!) that's dry to the touch. You can print from your gallery, social media accounts or take pictures from within the sprocket app itself and edit photos with fun borders and emojis/stickers. The only downside with this product, and I feel it is the trade-off you make when trying to develop such a small portable printer without the messiness of inks, is that the actual print quality isn't the best. All of the photos I tried to print came out with a blueish tint to them and that's why I'm only giving this product 4 stars not 5. I don't think anyone would expect perfect photo print quality from such a small and portable device and considering the photos are printed in a sticker format, you pay for portability with print quality. The refills are also quite expensive at £11.99 for a pack of 20 pages, there are however deals that include refills with the unit at a lower price than you could buy them for separately.

These paper refills are the only ones you can use in the Sprocket plus so I mean your choice is very limited! These refills work using heat to print so as soon as they're done printing they're dry and they double as stickers, simply peel off the back layer! The only problem is they can be quite pricey

A compact, portable and innovative printer that brings fun to printing your daily life experiences. Connected to my Samsung S8+ almost instantaneously via the app and printing was executed promptly and efficiently. The app has many fun options to explore before initialising your prints onto the quirky zink paper. The print quality is mostly fine providing you are not expecting miracle photos from such a small device. The sprocket accompanied us on our summer holidays and was a fun gadget to have close to hand for immediate printing of family memories, directly onto the adhesive paper. Pricing requires some adjustment if the device is to compete with other alternative portable printing devices.

The paper is a great idea and amazing how you do not need to worry about having to buy Ink.

quick and easy to use with stick back, which allows you to use the pictures anywhere.

The only cons I have of this paper, is that if it not stuck down or in an album the sides do lift off. Printing quality is dull at times and fine lines going across the pictures.

I would love these to be slightly cheaper, as I would then be printing a lot more.

The HP Sprocket Plus is a device I've wanted to try for a while. On receiving the Printer it seems well built and looks sleek and stylish. It's a doddle to set up, simply make sure the battery is charged, load the paper & download the app and you're ready to go.

The app gives lots of options to edit photos before printing and offers hints and tips for using the printer. Printing itself is very speedy with prints only taking a few seconds. Unfortunately the prints are quite disappointing. The colours generally appear rather washed out compared to the digital versions and there are often lines and blemishes on physical prints.

It's an excellent concept and the pictures do make nice little mementos but the image quality really is a let down. I wanted to love the Sprocket Plus but currently I feel let down. If HP can update the firmware or improve the paper to provide better colours I'd be happy with it but for now I can't recommend it.

    UPDATE
I've now learned you can print direct from other apps on your phone. My experience printing direct from Photos on my iPhone seems a bit better than using the Sprocket App. The first picture attached shows a print from the Sprocket App first and straight from Photos at the bottom, the difference is subtle but I think the 2nd one has fewer flaws and more accurate colour. The second picture is a selection of prints, also straight from Photos.

    Reviews Pocket Sprocket Plus

I have wanted to buy this printer since I had seen it, but was not sure how good it was and knew I couldn’t return if I wasn’t happy with it. I was so Happy when this campaign came up.

I was really Happy with the size and quality of the Sprocket upon unpacking it. Portability has been thought through well, when making this product.

Instructions within the packaging where simple to follow and also very easy to set up. Took me less than 5 minutes.

The app to use the printer is very easy to install. Once I had it all up and running I began to print. The printer is really quiet and speed of printing is very reasonable. These where all bonus point. However, the printing quality was disappointing as it look like the pictures have faded and that the quality of the prints has faint lines going across. I also left the pictures for around a week, to find that the sides have lifted up.
In regards to this my advise would be; Pictures would be best to be stuck down or too be put straight into an album in order to ensure that they stay flat.

I have got a party to go to and a Holiday I will take this with me to have a go whilst I am away. However I do need too select the pictures, which I print carefully as the Paper is expensive to buy. Printing normal prints maybe a lot cheaper.

Would be great if it came with a case or a sleeve to put the printer in. This would have made it a better buy too.

The product is an amazing product and portability is good. if the quality of the images are improved on this; will make it an even better product.

I will be try scrapbooking with this and see how I go. Journalling my sons moments will be a lot easier with this in hand.

    Included:
1 packet of 10 photo paper
    Sprocket paper Packet
    Usb Cable for charging

    Pros-
    Portability and Convenience
Easy to print that special moment and keep/share with others.

    Cons -
    Quality of print
    Expensive Paper
Pictures bend after a while if not added to an album or stuck down.

This is a great little device with a sleek design that can literally fit in your pocket. It’s easy to use and the HP Zink photo paper goes in easily. You just have to turn it on, download the app and connect your device to Bluetooth. You can then print any photo straight from your camera roll or any social media account. The photo quality is pretty good but some photos do turn out better than others for some reason.

When I opened the box, I was impressed with the look and feel of this compact printer. It looks good and is slim. It’s also lightweight, similar weight and not much wider to a mobile phone. It’s handy that it comes with a pack of 10 sheets of photo paper too so you can start printing your favourite photos straightaway.

On the side of the printer, it features a USB charging port (cable included), power button and indicator light.

The simple instruction card shows you how to open the cover (slide then lift up) and insert the paper. It's pretty idiot proof, takes 30 seconds then you're almost ready to go. Before using it you need to install the free Sprocket app to your phone or tablet then connect the printer to Bluetooth. I had no issues with this. The app was simple to use and allows you to edit the image with borders, emojis and text, just like you can on your mobile phone. I tried borders and emojis but generally preferred printing without editing. The printer is very quiet and is quick to print, takes about 1-2 minutes once you send it via the app. I only experienced a minor issue mid-printing when a paper jam occurred but the app notified me with a pop-up message with instructions on what to do. The light on the printer also turned red. This was easily rectified.

I loved the simplicity of using this from inserting the photo pack, using the app and sending to print. I can see it being lots of fun to print instant photos and sharing these with friends and family when out and about.

Nice little novelty printer that makes a decent stocking filler. Lightweight and portable meaning you can take it with you anywhere, lovely pocket sized prints, easy to set up and use, and a great talking point. Prints are not the best quality though so was a little disappointed given the cost of the machine.

Actually it is a great portable printer to have in hand when you want to create memories. With a limit of 10 ZINC paper printer load, I could get enough prints for me and my friends in one event, but it could be just a few for some people. We have to be mindful on how to store the spare ZINC paper as it cannot bear high temperature, considering we are in the middle of a heatwave in London. Without editing, the print quality does not have the color saturation fidelity as the photo found on my smartphone. However, with a bit of editing and tweaking, this is not a problem. I found adding experiences (4 borders available in the app) quite interesting. Reviewing the experiences by scanning the printout photo is just amazing and a fantastic feature. I would have liked more choice of experiences though.

The HP Sprocket Plus is a portable pocket-sized printer that allows you to print photos quickly and easily via bluetooth from your phone. Pros: Size - It's very compact and light. Fits in a pocket meaning you can take it anywhere Quick - Printing photos is a speedy process and only takes a few seconds. No ink - The printer/paper uses zink so there are no ink cartridges to replace. Cons: Print quality - Images with high contrast don't come out great and are quite dark. Not for 'professional' high quality photos, more suited to quick snaps. Cost per print - Each sheet of paper is approx 50p. The idea is great but poor quality prints and high cost per print mean this is unfortunately not a device i would recommend.
