Strength in numbers

When you crank up the settings, no detail should go unnoticed. The ginormous QHD panel pumps out extreme detail with 77 percent more pixels than standard Full HD displays.[2]

Every millisecond matters

Hone your reflexes and gain the upper hand over your enemies. The 5ms response time[3] and 75Hz refresh rate eliminates smearing and motion blur, so you can react instantly to what’s on screen.

AMD FreeSync™ certified

See and feel the difference of fluid, responsive gameplay. By synchronizing the refresh rate with your GPU, AMD FreeSync[4] makes display stutter, input lag, and screen tears ancient history.

A good monitor with some faults

Hp have done a excellent job with this monitor. First off all the quick view picture settings suck starting with text going to gaming starts off pushing to much yellow to green. This is fixed by selecting 6500k color temp and then adjusting the contrast and brightness as the default brightness is 90 I set mine to 50 and 95 contrast. Viewing angles are good side to side but up to down colors shift. I had to use a book to get the monitor at the right as there's no height adjustment which is understandable cost savings. There's only two real issues with the monitor first the pixel response times are slow when panning the camera in a game left to right slow even the image becomes blurry and when you image becomes sharp. Being camera panel the blacks and dark colors will smear. This issues are personal preference some are more sensitive to motion blur. Second is the fact that nvidia gpu owners can't use the monitors 75hz refresh rate without frame skipping. Hp says this for freesync only but all most every other freesync monitor out there works with the maximum advertise refresh rate with nvidia gpu's. I believe this real hurt the sales of this monitor and don't understand why hp wouldn't fix this issue with a firmware update as nvidia has about 80% of the gpu market and people don't want to pay for gsync tax. Further proof of this is there are only two professional written reviews of it and there not very detailed and a couple user YouTube ones. If motion blur doesn't bother you this is a great deal as there is no other 32 inch 1440p monitors close to this price.

    Great Monitor

Tried a BenQ 3200PT (uses the same 32" VA panel as this) before settling for this monitor. Built quality seems better on the BenQ and the stand has more adjustment, but I found that the BenQ stand wobbled a bit more (likely because it has so much adjustment). This monitor only has tilt adjustment and for me it is fine. It sits at a good height for my use, and I don't need portrait or anything like that. Picture quality is similar to the BenQ but the banding inherent to this panel is a bit less noticeable on the HP. Panel uniformity is pretty good, and there is only a minimal amount of backlight bleed. Pixel response time is similar to the BenQ, meaning it is decent but not at fast TN levels. When the response time is set to one level below fastest it works pretty well for the games I play (racing and 3rd person RPGs). I didn't have any dead/stuck pixels on my one. The huge PLUS of the HP over the BenQ is the 75Hz refresh rate and inclusion of Freesync. The higher refresh rate is even noticeable on the desktop, and very pleasant for games. I will not buy a lower refresh monitor ever again. A minor plus for me was that the USB hub on this monitor actually shuts off when you turn the power off, whereas it didn't on the BenQ. I prefer the power to go off to the USB ports when I shut the monitor down since I have a mouse and gamepad, both of which have bright LED lighting, connected to the monitor. The SD card reader included on the BenQ would have been nice to have on the HP though, but not a huge deal. The standard 1 year warranty is pretty short, but buying the 3-year next day replacement from HP only costs $30 so it was well worth it to extend it. Overall I am very satisfied with this HP Omen monitor. This is my first HP monitor at home and so far, I would definitely recommend it to others.

    Perfect Monitor

This monitor should be the only monitor at any store! It has everything done right: Resolution, size and aspect ratio, buttons to navigate settings, 100%RGB, display port and HDMI...I was looking into those ultra-wide monitors, but in the end, at best they are only 17"to 21" monitors that are simply wider. This Omen monitor is truly a 32" monitor. I used a 31.5" Sony Bravia TV for a long time and could not find a better "monitor" at that size. Thanks HP team for making an awesome monitor! I do a lot of things with this monitor, I play video games a lot, I do graphic design, photography, record music, watch movies and this monitor does it all for me!
