Rated 1 out of 5 by Short & costly lifespan of product. Due to past problems with HP Ink and HP Printheads, I decided to purchase directly from HP. Outside retailers sell cartridges with very short expiration dates, but I discovered HP also sells supplies with minimum lifespans based on their carefully concealed expiration dates. When I called customer service because I was having printing problems, they ask for the expiration date and you can be assure that the product will have expired. Once determined, Customer Service then politely dismisses you that it's not their responsibility. The expiration dates of the product I purchased directly from HP were also short. Every printhead had a lifespan less than 2 years, however, 50% of all those from HP had lifespans less than 1 year. December 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Installation created a new problem. The cartridge was installed and colors look normal. However, every time I power up the printer and after every print job, the printer runs an automatic printhead check routine and prints a color test page. This is wasting a lot of paper and time. Rated 1 out of 5 by Business Inkjet 1200 printhead Installing this print head ruined my printer and I choose not to put anymore time or money into it as the print heads and ink cartridges are expensive. I found a solution in a forum but the file was inaccessible. This is poor customer support. September 6, 2011
