Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic All-In-One Finally got to upgrade my old HP all in one and I can scan to my iMac once again! So happy! Love this new LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw! I have an iMac with OSX El Capitan v. 10.11.6 and the set up was easy and I can now once again after several years scan to my iMac. Just a note: I have to use the scan icon on my iMac instead of using the scan icon on the all in one. No problem though. Printing is beautiful, machine is quiet and quick. Very happy. Oh, bonus, got my all in one much quicker than expected!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Home/Office Printer Out of the box this printer is the best I have ever used. Easy to setup and has more functions than I originally thought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great All in One Just received the printer two weeks ago. It has all the features I was looking for except automatic duplex. Haven't had time to try all features, but I am very happy with the machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my MFP M477dw I love how easy this printer was to set up especially the wireless and E-Print connections. Not only was the set up easy , but the scan option is quick and efficient . This printer is both economical and affordable. Lots of features for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The printer that you want, every time. There's always debate over laserjet vs inkjet. I am no expert but have vast experience with both and in my opinion, they both get the job done. What it comes down to is speed, quality and longevity. Inkjets are slow, use tons of resources and typically go bad after a few years (if you regularly print). The constant cleaning of the heads and alignment procedures just waste ink. Laserjet is fast, reliable and durable. Pay the little extra cost up front and get the quality from day 1. This machine gets the job done, prints great (every time) and is fast. The connectivity is simple and its ready to go right out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The HP Color LaserJet Pro M477fdw is Great. The HP Color LaserJet Pro M477fdw is a very capable printer for a small work group or someone like me who wants to treat themselves to the quality of a laser printer versus inkjet. BTW I’ve owned my fair share of inkjets over the years. Setup was straight forward for all my devices. I have a mixture of Win10 and OSX Sierra computers wired and over Wi-Fi via an ASUS AC5300 router; as well as several iOS devices. The LED icon driven touch screen is clean and easy to read. I did find entering the LaserJet Pro M477fdw IP Address in my browser gave me even more options to fine tune the setup. I don’t print a lot but I work around laser printers and therefore can appreciate the superior visual presentation of toner versus ink. Although, I will admit it’s hard to beat a good inkjet for photos. That is where the M477 falls short but not enough to make me regret my buying decision. Overall text printing is crisp and sharp. Non-photo quality graphic reproduction is good as well and suitable for a presentation. A company logo shouldn’t suffer any at all. On the other hand skin tones are not spot-on and tend to be a bit grainy; so be forewarned. I’m using copy/print/scan/fax as well as document storage. Can’t test the NFC feature as I’m not an Android user. Two sided print/copy works fine as well as single-pass dual scan. I did find it rather odd that Scan from Doc Feeder is disabled with the default being from the glass. Luckily, I found an article online written by an HP Tech on how to enable Scan from Doc Feeder as the default. Operation is quite and I do recommend setting the sleep and time-out modes to conserve energy and prolong the life of the printer. Supply yield is adequate but very subjective in terms of how much printing and color output is done which will vary by user. Paper curl due to the 180 degree short paper path is prevalent but IMO no more than any other laser printer in the same class and price point. The HP Color LaserJet Pro M477fdw should not have any trouble handling the majority of paper stocks the average user will throw at it. Know that the M477 is not intended to mimic the same versatility in media throughput as you might find in an office class floor standing MFP. The HP Color LaserJet Pro M477fdw is priced where you might expect and IMO well worth the money as a substantial entry level Laser MFP. It offers some of the same bells and whistles you might find on a floor standing office system. The build quality is excellent weighing in at slightly over 50 lbs. It not only feels solid…it is…and produces no vibration when in operation. Can improvements be made to the HP Color LaserJet Pro M477fdw? Of course they can. But for right now for my needs the HP Color LaserJet Pro M477fdw is the perfect fit. It’s an excellent way to cross from inkjet to laser for a first time buyer. I even opted for the 550-Sheet Feeder attachment. Yea…it’s probably more than I need but I like toys . So in conclusion if you’re looking for a small compact laser printer with some of the same features as one costing $1000’s more The HP Color LaserJet Pro M477fdw should be on your short list. Besides HP offers a decent return policy. So buying one doesn’t mean you’re stuck with it; if it turns out not to be what you hoped for. I highly, recommend this unit. Cheers!
