Rated 1 out of 5 by What happened to what was a great product I bought my first 12c out of college in 1984 and it lasted until 2014. It was flawless for 30 years. Once It gave up I bought another one 2 years ago and it has been nothing but problems. Won't calculate, screen is bad sometimes only displaying the top half of the screen. What was once the industry standard is worthless now. June 13, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Extrememely bad quality. Only worked for two days I got a HP12c as a present. The first day worked OK, but the second day the upper part of all digits disappeared. I am really surprised for this, as the previous HP calcultators I have, worked perfect for years and this one only lasts for two days. I have followed the HP procedure to reset the calculator but it does not solve the malfunction of the display. I always thought this could not happen to a HP calculator. December 23, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by what happened to the best financial calculator?? Had my first one for 25 years never a problem, lost it, bought a new one and within a month it won't display, won't calculate, partial display, buttons often don't respond and it turns off. Not the batteries! How frustrating!!!! November 24, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Display unreadable after one year. Used an HP12C for 30 years. One I bought in college gave out last year after years of hard use. Purchased new one last year. Lasted one year and is now useless. Issue is that display characters are unreadable. If HP sends me a note saying they have improved quality I would buy again, but until that time I cannot recommend this calculator. Note I would gladly pay double what the current price is for this device if quality was adequate. Now all I have to do is find another RPN calculator! October 2, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Used to be a great product Am on my 3rd one in 30 years. First 2 were great. 3rd one didn't last a year before the display got messed up. only some of the numbers display properly. Not the batteries. The device works but you can't read the numbers in the display very well. This last one barely lasted a year. Know they don't make stuff like they used to but this is rediculus considering what I paid for it. Is there any way to shake the LCD display so that it is legible again??? September 29, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Prtoduct is unreliable I had this calculator for 25 years and never had a problem, lost it and bought a new one. It worked for one month and the keys stuck, it was useless. So I bought another one thinking I was unlucky. The second one worked for about a month then the display started to fade. it too became useless. Changed batteries, did everything I could to get it to work. I guess I have to buy another one to see if it works. August 29, 2015
