This section outlines the terms of sale for products and services available from the HP Home & Home Office Store, in general. The terms consist of the terms on this page and:

Prices, taxes, fees

We aim to provide our customers with competitive prices on the products we offer. Prior to submitting your order you will have the opportunity to review product prices and any applicable sales tax, shipping, and handling charges. Prices are exclusive of, and Customer shall pay, all taxes, duties, levies or fees, or other similar charges imposed on HP or on the Customer by any taxing authority (other than taxes imposed on HP's income) related to Customer's order.

If you feel your order should be tax exempt you must provide a valid tax exempt certificate—other than a resale certificate—at the time you place the order. HP Home & Home Office Store sales are intended for personal use and not for resale so we do not accept resale certificates. Please review the detailed instructions regarding submittal of valid acceptable certificates.

For orders shipped to California, effective January 1, 2005, we are required to collect a recycling fee on qualifying products.

Notify the HP Home & Home Office Store promptly should you believe your order has a pricing error.

The HP Home & Home Office Store reserves the right to change prices at any time. Should we lower the price of the product you purchased, you may call 1 (888) 999-4747 within 21 days of delivery date to request a credit for the difference between the price you paid and the current the HP Home & Home Office Store selling price. This excludes mail-in rebates, which are not part of this price protection.

Despite our best efforts, items on our web site may, on rare occasion, be mispriced. If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and ship you the item. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

Personal Use

Products and support acquired by Customer under these Terms are solely for Customer's personal use and not for immediate resale or sub-licensing.

Payment and financing

We accept Discover Network, Visa, MasterCard, American Express credit cards, Bill Me Later®, PayPal Express Checkout, hpdirect.com Preferred Account, and HP Home & Home Office Store gift cards.


Order acceptance and cancellation

The HP Home & Home Office Store reserves the right to decline or cancel orders at any time. Notification is via email to the email address you provided when submitting your order. We assume no responsibility for issues resulting from such declines, cancellations, or email notification failure. Order costs will be charged to your account upon acceptance.

The HP Home & Home Office Store begins processing accepted orders immediately and is therefore unable to accept order cancellation requests once you have received an order confirmation. If an order is processed in error, contact our customer service immediately at 1 (888) 999-4747 for instructions.

For custom-built PC's the factory receives your order as soon as it is approved. Since the PC is custom built, your order can not be changed or modified once the order has been submitted/approved. If however an order is processed in error, contact our customer service immediately at 1 (888) 999-4747 for instructions.


The HP Home & Home Office Store ships merchandise to street addresses within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. Click here for complete information on shipping and delivery.

For your protection, a signature is required for most deliveries. We do not allow address changes after an order has been accepted. You may not export any products purchased at the HP Home & Home Office Store.

Global Trade Restriction Notice

Customer understands and acknowledges that HP products are subject to US and other national export and import regulations and certifies that he/she is not a citizen, party of a country which are subject to certain trade control embargoes, sanctions, prohibition and restriction, to include all countries identified in country groups D:1, E:1 and E:2, as identified in Supplement No. 1 to Part 740 of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations, see http://www.access.gpo.gov/bis/ear/pdf/740spir.pdf, without having first obtained required government authorization. HP may suspend performance if Customer is in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.

Prices, specifications, availability and terms of offers may change without notice. Quantity limits may apply to orders, including orders for discounted and promotional items. Despite our best efforts, a small number of items may contain pricing, typography, or photography errors. Correct prices and promotions are validated at the time your order is placed. These terms apply only to products sold by the HP Home & Home Office Store; reseller offers may vary. Items sold by the HP Home & Home Office Store are not for immediate resale. Orders that do not comply with HP Home & Home Office Store terms, conditions, and limitations may be cancelled.

HP’s MSRP is subject to discount. HP’s MSRP price is shown as either a stand-alone price or as a strike-through price with a discounted or promotional price also listed. Discounted or promotional pricing is indicated by the presence of an additional higher MSRP strike-through price.

In-home warranty is available only on select customizable HP desktop PCs. Need for in-home service is determined by HP support representative. Customer may be required to run system self-test programs or correct reported faults by following advice given over phone. On-site services provided only if issue can't be corrected remotely. Service not available holidays and weekends.

HP will transfer your name and address information, IP address, products ordered and associated costs and other personal information related to processing your application to Bill Me Later®. Bill Me Later will use that data under its privacy policy.
