Not a bad device!

Bought specifically for university, so I didn't have to lug my heavy laptop around campus. Does the job perfectly, everything I need it to do. This includes working on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, even AutoCAD and other similar software and it does it all with no slowdowns as far as I've noticed. Battery life is very good, probably about 6-8 hours.. which leaves me with enough battery after a long day to watch a film on the train home. Device is well built, and feels solid. Very minimalistic design which wouldn't look out of place at work or on the coffee table at home. I love this tablet, it's just a very portable fully-featured computer that won't break the bank or your back carrying it. The screen is very sharp and surprisingly good, that was my main worry when purchasing. I simply did not want a poor screen on my device and this delivers. Only downside is the lack of a decent case on the market. But several universal tablet cases seem to fit without issue. Oh, and the capacitive windows button could be more sensitive, but that's not a big deal really as I barely use it. I'm very happy with my purchase, although annoyed that the price dropped £50 a few days after I bought it. But all in all a very nice thing to have, especially for students or someone who needs long battery life and mobility while still needing to get a bit of work done.

Great Companion Machine

I bought this machine because I needed a lightweight device that ran full Windows 8 programs for work. For me, this is really a modern version of a net book. It runs MS Office etc. at a more than acceptable speed and allows me to work for the whole day on one charge of the battery. Today I have been using the machine on and off travelling and in a client's office for 13 hours and there is still battery life left. It's not rocket ship but I can work comfortably all day on it and not have much to carry around. In a month of hard use I have only found two negative points: firstly the sound via headphones is quiet and secondly, 32mb of "disk" is small. I use a 64gb SD card as well but some programs wont make use of it. Overall, if you want a low cost travelling companion for your laptop and need to stick with Windows then this is a good choice.
