Excellent value

Super printer for the money. Easy to set up and it was printing in no time at all without any problems. The quality is as it should be and the double-sided printing option is excellent. Delivery time from HP was fantastic and free of charge. I see some people complaining that it doesn't scan - doh! It doesn't pretend to be an all-in-one or to have any scanning ability at all. It is a printer and a jolly good one at that for the money.

Wireless works very well, but.....

The 8100 does what we want it to do by copying from the laptop or desktop. But there is the discovery it doesn't print copies except THRU the computer. You can't lift the lid and make copies the "old fashioned way". Need a quick copy of a receipt? Gotta scan it first and then print it. Can't just make a copy on the printer.

I returned this printer. I wanted an All In One. Needed and wanted a scanner. Re-Ordered.

GREAT!

I wanted a simple yet quality printer. I don't have a second line for a fax nor need to make photocopies. My ______ printer, with multitasking, was hard to use and always talking to me for no reason. I've always had great luck with HP products and would have bought this model had I seen it in (big box) store.

No thanks

I returned this printer after a few days of listening to clanking, clonking and other undesirable noises. prior to delivering an acceptable print. I initially bought it because of the low price and I needed a wireless printer to replace my HP laserjet 1505.This printer was ready for a new drum system after working with no problems for many years. The price of the new drum was about the same as the 8100. I also had problems linking it to my wireless network. After a few days I decided the 1505v was more desirable and returned the 8100.
