Causes shadow images with Powerpoint

Half the projectors I have used show a shadow image with any type of presentation, the other half were fine. I saw this in the blogs before buying but purchased anyway, as I have no other way of connecting my new Envy laptop to a projector. Envy has no VGA port and the HDMI converter reminds me of the old Sony Viao with all it's external components.

does the job

Plug n play. Used on my Windows 7 HP Envy 4 laptop's HDMI port (no VGA out for projector support). Worked instantly allowing me to connect to projectors with only VGA input. Only problem was that the projector was not detected, so there was a minor resolution mismatch that I messed with for a few instants to adjust. Also caused me to undue the display settings when I disconnected the HDMI - to - VGA device. Not that big a deal considering that it was instantly successful out of the box with no driver loads, nothing (the default resolution was acceptable).

check graphics capabilty

Good product if your pc has a large enough graphic card. Check to make sure your graphic card can stream to a larger video device. Example: My Pavilion p7-1254 cannot stream to any video device larger than 27 inches. I need a Pavilion HPE h8-1220 to accomplish my goal of streaming to a large video device of 43 to 80 inches.
